What is the Collège Culinaire de France?

Founded by 15 renowned chefs in 2011, the Collège Culinaire de France is the only French collective that mobilizes more than 2000 restaurants and 1000 artisans and producers throughout France. They embody a new culture of culinary craftsmanship, as an alternative to the industrialization and standardization of food.

Totally independent, the Collège Culinaire de France operates with the funding of its members' commitment.

A true laboratory for collaboration and relational agility, the Collège Culinaire de France catalyzes, reveals, and amplifies all the positive initiatives of its members, generating a new economic model. This website provides all those who wish to become an actor in this process with the news and practical tools of the collective (search engine, interactive map, members ‘pantry, ...).

Who are those 3000 Artisans Committed to Quality ?

Skilled women and men, quality tradespersons, members of the Collège Culinaire de France, that are actively committed to a cause: supporting a resilient, sustainable, and flourishing culinary craftsmanship, as an alternative to the industrialization and standardization of food, restaurant industry and food production.

Daily, members combine their know-how and skills to ensure the perpetuation and preservation of quality culinary craftsmanship to guarantee a better future for tomorrow’s food. Whether they are restaurants owners, chefs, artisans, growers, producers etc., the artisanal project of each Artisans Committed to Quality is based on 2 pillars:

  • A cultural pillar based on:
    • Sharing a singular identity
    • Practicing proven transparency
    • Committing in an effective cooperation The whole system being assessed in a dynamic of continuous and measurable improvement generating a new viable economic model.
  • A societal pillar : the conviction that culinary diversity and craftsmanship are an alternative to industrialization and food standardization.

You are a professional. How to join the Collège Culinaire de France?

1. Enrollment process

Practicing proven transparency
This package is composed of:

  • D’un Application form
  • D’un membership form you will receive by email automatically after completing your online application form.

These files will be considered by our team and submitted to the selection committee which takes place once a month.

2. Selection Committee

The founding chefs meet every month to study the applications received, based on the qualified opinions of the chefs and producers of each region and members of the collective. For a file to be accepted, all the founding chefs must give a unanimous favorable opinion.

3. Membership

If your application is accepted by our selection committee and your file is complete (application form and signed membership form) you become a member of the collective as soon as the decision committee returns. The annual commitment to the Collège Culinaire de France implies a membership fee and an annual subscription.

4. Integration

The month following your membership is a turning point in your integration to the collective. Thus, you are invited to participate in the Integration Café meeting, the first digital meeting that allows you to be informed about the functioning of the Collège Culinaire de France and its actions. In addition, you will receive within 5 to 8 weeks the welcome kit including your enameled plaque, symbol of your membership in our collective!

The different levels of engagements available to you

Is my current enamel plate still valid? 

Yes, the "Quality Restaurant" and "Quality Artisan Producer" plates are still valid and will coexist with the " Artisans Committed to Quality" plaque. However, if you wish to acquire the new plate, it is possible to order it via your member page, under the heading Toolbox.
